Holly Stables
Holly Stables (who competed as rush until 2021) is an ex international road marathon runner turned ultra trail runner. Her early twenties were spent as a fun runner, until she started making waves at Team Bath AC and was advised to take on a coach. In 2010 she was selected to represent Great Britain at the European Athletics Championships in Barcelona (team silver medallists) . She then went on to place 8th at the Commonwealth Games in 2010 and has since represented GB at the World Mountain Championships, twice winning team silver and bronze. Other successes include winning Pisa and Edinburgh marathons before graduating to ultra distance and taking first place at Ultravasan and 7th place at Comrades Marathon.
Holly has over 10 years of personal training under her belt, is a qualified sports therapist, level 2 run coach and has a masters degree in sports coaching. She is also the ASICS UK FrontRunner community manager.
She is more likely to be found in the mountains these days. She ran her first 100 miler in 2017 and has gone on to do many mountain ultras including the UTMB, ran the Annapurna Circuit solo and climbed Mont Blanc.
Pete Stables
Pete Stables is a Level 4 Advanced REPS Accredited BAWLA Strength & Conditioning Coach, Online Strength Coach for Endurance Athletes, Road and Ultra Distance Athlete, BPU British Record Holder in Powerlifting, ASICS Frontrunner, Author and Fitness Writer, with regular contributions to elitefts.com, asics.com, liftbigeatbig.com and in print for bodybuilding magazine ‘Perfect Body’.
As an athlete, Pete has held competition bests of a 250kg raw squat, 150kg bench press and 272.50kg deadlift. In 2024 he completed Manchester Marathon in a time of 2:59:19. He has also completed numerous endurance events including the ‘Oner’ (82 mile trail race over the cliffs of Dorset) and running from London to Paris (450km in 10 days) in 2019.
